Rich specializes in patent preparation in interdisciplinary technologies, including quantum computing, quantum information, photonic crystals, bioinformatics, molecular array technologies, nanotechnology, molecular electronics, computational chemistry, and quantum chemistry.  Rich has over 6 years of research experience in writing simulation software and employing quantum chemistry methodologies to investigate chemical reactions, Raman active modes, energetics, bond energies, and reactive intermediates.

Bob also works in traditional areas of software, computer hardware, computer architecture, electronics, chemistry, and biochemistry. Bob spent over 5 years in academic research involving small-molecule and protein structure determination and worked as a software engineer for 13 years.
